Skincare Review | Helloskin Jumiso ~ Yes I Am Toner AHA 5%
Hello beauties! Last week, I have shared about my skin recovery from acne with the use of Helloskin Jumiso Ac Cure No Pain No Gain Spot Cream. Today I want to share about their toner, or more precisely for me, chemical exfoliant named as Helloskin Jumiso Yes I Am Toner AHA 5%.
Before going into it, let's talk about Jumiso a little bit. Jumiso is actually a subsidiary label of Helloskin brand. I was first introduced to Helloskin brand likely a few months ago after attracted to their cute packaging of Jumiso sheet masks. For me, their packaging is really whimsical! They features an adorable dog and its owner in such a cute way where its owner, the girl is always accompanied by her cute dog when she's doing her skincare routine. That dog looks like wonder what my lady boss is doing 😂. Well, it doesn't know every girl will always chase after a healthy and beautiful skin!

Jumiso word is derived from Korean words which are 주 (ju): to give and 미소 (miso): smile. Completely in Korean, Jumiso means "make you smile". That is why their core value is to "give smile to their customers". They have a cute logo too, letter "J" with a little smiley face illustration!
Now let's go into Jumiso Yes I Am Toner AHA 5%. It is an exfoliating toner that consists of two types of alpha-hydroxy acids, namely Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid as the main exfoliants. These acids are designed to be at 5% concentration with 3.2% Glycolic Acid and 1.8% Lactic Acid.

📍 Capacity:
Its capacity provided per bottle is 125ml.
📍 Packaging:
It is packaged in a tall frosted plastic bottle with a small hole for dispense and a white twist off cap. It has an aluminium seal on that small hole in order to avoid any leakage before opening.
📍 Texture:
Its texture is clear watery, exactly like water.
📍 Scent:
It has a lemony scent which for me, very refreshing.
📍 Application:
It is absorbed fast into my skin. Post application, it is very lightweight on my skin, I do not feel anything on skin, my skin even refreshed, hydrated, supple and softer. It doesn’t leave my skin with sticky feeling at all if I used it generously.
📍 pH value:
Upon application of this chemical exfoliant, my skin sense a little bit tingling sensation around acne area which is for me bearable because it only lasted a few seconds. That tingling sensation also left a little bit redness on my chin area, but once soothing serum and moisturizer were applied later, it was gone completely. That tingling sensation lasted only for the first four day of using this chemical exfoliant, I used it once every two days, at night only.
After those first four days, no more tingling sensation upon its application. Acne which had almost shrunk completely with the use of the spot cream, go away slowly day by day leaving only dry and rough patches. Days later, those dry and rough patches came off little by little, or informationally we refer it as dead skin cells detaching or skin cells re-surfacing in order to give a rise for new skin cells.
Ohh ya, I have a tip to be shared, a tip which I have found helping my skin to be smooth faster. After having cleansing step or taking a bath (I mean when my skin is still in damp condition), I always rub my skin with a face towel very gently and very softly, I repeat, VERY GENTLY and VERY SOFTLY, to help quicken the dry patches to came off. This somehow really satisfy me when looking at those patches on the face towel . But please never give a force to the stubborn patches, it is just not their times yet. Give them their loving time with our skin before we separate them far away to each other hahahahaha. Remember, VERY GENTLY and VERY SOFTLY, on DAMP SKIN and WITHOUT FORCE okay?!
Other good sides of this chemical exfoliant on my skin are it gives a good hydration, which helping much in balancing oil production of my skin. I felt that my skin can absorb hydrating toner and any other products that come in later better when using this chemical exfoliant at first. I think these had contributed much for my well hydrated and less oily skin. Due to that enough hydration, enlarged pores appearance was quite reduced. I loike!
Oh yaa, I just use my palm patting this product on my skin. I don't like to use cotton pad because I want my palms to get prettier too. Okay that's all 🧚🏻♀️ hahahahaha!

📍 How to use:
- After cleansing, saturate the cotton pad with toner and gently wipe over face. **I just pat it on skin using my palms, it is much quicker, okay okay actually I'm lazy 😂**
- For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF30 or higher.

- For external use only.
- Discontinue use if signs of irritation or rash appear.
- Keep out of reach of children.
📍 pH value:
The pH of this chemical exfoliant is approximately 4.0~6.0.

I incorporated this chemical exfoliant after acne around my chin area almost dried completely. Remember not to use any exfoliant, neither pyhsical nor chemical, on irritated skin because it will worsen the skin more, not helping the skin to get better. In my case, I need to clear up acne all around my chin area first before introducing my skin with this chemical exfoliant, and I did it with Helloskin Jumiso Ac Cure No Pain No Gain Spot Cream.Upon application of this chemical exfoliant, my skin sense a little bit tingling sensation around acne area which is for me bearable because it only lasted a few seconds.
